Regional Coaching Service
Regional Coaching Teams plan and provide a range of Courses and Events to further support Diver Training and developing interests within their respective regions. Support is provided through the Regional Coach and their Teams on a purely voluntary basis and every effort is made to meet the needs and requirments of both branches and individuals with each region.
DIVER TRAINING
Diver Training is supported through a variety of means including organising and providing facilities for a range of Regional SDC's as well as providing advice and intructor supoort where possible for Branch run SDC's.

It is not normally the remit of the Coaching Scheme to provide training for diver grades but subject to demand each region may provide assistance to individual members by organising specific Regional Diver Training Support events or provide direct support to assist a Branch with their Training such as provide additional instructors for Open Water Training weekend for Ocean/Sport Divers.
Most regions provide some form of help and encouragement for Advanced Divers by arranging First Class Diver Prep Events.
INSTRUCTOR DEVELOPMENT
The Instructor Training Scheme (ITS) is organised Nationally but supported at a Regional level by the Coaching Scheme being repsonsible for providing Local Organisers to arrange venues and ensure events run smoothly. In addition members of the Team are usually the instructors on ITS events in the region.

Each Coaching Team can provide assistance to developing instructors particularly with preparation for Examination by organising TIE Prep Events & PIE Prep Events.
