Nitrox Workshop Feedback

As with any change to a training programme there will be a range of feedback on the changes both positive and negative. Below is a selection of some of the feedback received following the release of the Nitrox Workshop as part of the update to the Diver Training Programme and released in January 2007.

We welcome all feedback but please note that the comments below are just a selection to illustrate the range and type of feedback received. Where appropriate references to answers for any questions raised will be made after the text from the individual.

" I ran my first Nitrox workshop yesterday...

And it all went very well. I like the new materials, and the students all enjoyed it too. I had a mixed group - a couple of OD and five or six SD+. The only slight problem I had was splitting the message about who could dive what post course, but nothing insurmountable.

Incidentally the first lecture took about 45 mins, then a 15 minute analysing session, then the second lecture took another 45 mins, then 30mins for the exam.

Overall I'm very pleased with the course and materials, and more importantly my students are too

"We ran the Ocean Diver Nitrox workshop last night, borrowed an Analox analyser from a local Dive Centre, Analox seems to be the one everyone uses. They do a very nice one page leaflet on how to use it, makes an ideal handout.

The course was very well received by the whole group including Sports Diver students, who spotted the advantages as soon as we handed out Nitrox tables, just as well as they will be doing the SD version in a few weeks.

Again thanks to all that put the scheme together, it really adds to Safe Diving"
