BSAC Underwater Heritage Advisor
Welcome to the Underwater Heritage Centre.Since my appointment to support the then NDO, Lizzie Bird, and more recently Clare Peddie, in the important role of Underwater Heritage we have continued to work actively and tirelessly to represent the views of divers with official bodies with a view to maintaining and retaining access to all aspects of our underwater heritage.
One of the key issues in the early days of my tenure was to promote the BSAC's involvement in the "Protect our Wrecks" initiative and to encourage all members to support the 'Wreck Amnesty'. Details of both these events can be found elsewhere.
This process continues and more recently we have actively taken part in a Consultation process over the wider implications of access to our underwater heritage. This process continues and BSAC will remain at the forefront in representing all divers interests.
