Branch Officers Handbook
(A Guide to Branch Management within the BSAC)
This web-based Branch Officers' Handbook (BOH) replaces the version previously offered in printed format. It has the advantage of remaining up to date, and being free.
The BOH is the property of the BSAC and is intended for the use of BSAC Branch Officers, Committee Members and ordinary BSAC members. Members of the BSAC may copy it in part or whole for use within their Branch or for personal reference. Further Public publication in part or whole requires authorisation from BSAC HQ.
Guidance available elsewhere is indicated by a link to the source, this should help ensure the latest advice is always available. The date of the last update is shown for each section.
To keep the BOH up-to-date, proposals to amend or correct information should be sent to the contact listed for each section.
How to find a topic in the BOH
To save the need to read the whole section every time you have a query:-
1. Look through the index, or the index on the guide on the right of each page.
2. You may find it quicker to use your browser's "Find on this page" function, even to check the index.
3. If you don't find it this way, then use the "Search" box on the left of the page.
