National Awards
Since its formation in 1953, the BSAC has acquired a number of awards and trophies covering the whole spectrum of amateur diving activity.
While most awards are granted as the result of decisions taken by the BSAC Council or National Diving Committee, Branches and individuals with a good chance of winning one are often overlooked because HQ is not informed of this possibility, or because an application / nomination for an award is not received in time.
It is hoped that the following notes will acquaint Branch Officers with the range and scope of BSAC awards and trophies, and give them further encouragement to nominate members, or apply on behalf of the Branch.
