BSAC Diver Training Centres

More than 100,000 people choose the BSAC for their dive training each year, because they simply want the best. Our network of Diver Training Centres, managed by BSAC HQ, offers diver training to BSAC standards and by BSAC qualified instructors in a variety of locations around the world.

Diver training is just one of a range of diver related services offered by a BSAC Diver Training Centre which may be based in a retail shop or a diving centre.
 
  • BSAC ResortsBSAC Resorts do not offer training but welcome BSAC divers and recognise their skills and experience, enabling them to dive to their grade.The Lead diver/proprietor should be a diver with similarity to BSAC Dive Leader. Resorts should have an adequate stock of equipment for visiting divers to hire.

  • Diver Training CentresDiver Training Centres This level of Centre is authorised to train and certify Ocean Diver, Sports Diver and Dive Leader grades. BSAC Open Water Instructor required. Skill Development Courses can also be staged that can be provided by OWIs.

  • Premier CentresPremier Centres can train and certify all BSAC diver grades, including Advanced Diver and offer many Skill Development Courses. BSAC Advanced Instructor (AI) required.

  • Centres of ExcellenceCentres of Excellence, This is the top level of Centre, authorised to train all diver grades, Skill Development Courses and to carry out instructor training/ assessments. BSAC National Instructor required.

  • Technical CentresTechnical Centres are authorised to train Nitrox, Extended Range, Rebreather and other BSAC Technical diving courses. BSAC Instructor with appropriate Technical qualifications and/or attendance at a BSAC Technical Training Workshop required.

  • Seamanship CentresSeamanship Centres are authorised to to deliver the BSAC Boat Handling course, conduct Diver Cox'n Assessments and run Chartwork and Position Fixing Skill Development Courses. Recognition of Seamanship Instructor required.
