Practical Instructor Exam (PIE)

Dive Leader + PIE + OWIC - Fee £40

The PIE is of approximately half a day duration and is an assessment of practical teaching ability in Open Water. Dates are given below, but please note that the event could be on either the Saturday or the Sunday (or even midweek). Candidates will receive further instructions once their application has been accepted.

IMPORTANT NOTE
Applications for places on the Practical Instructor Exam (PIE) CANNOT be accepted until after the OWIC has actually been attended. Bookings will not be accepted for both OWIC & PIE simultaneously.

CENTRAL BOOKING SCHEME - 3 ways to book

Members wishing to apply for places on any ITS event are invited to contact Central Bookings Administrator at BSAC, telephone 0151 350 6209. Please have your membership number available when calling. Many ITS events are fully booked months in advance so book early to avoid disappointment. Additional events may be organised to meet demand: again, contact Central Bookings for information.

2. By Post

3. On-line using the Form below

Select an event from the list below, noting the date and venue.

Fill in your details and click on the "Send the booking" button. Please note, ALL parts of the form MUST be completed, except the "Optional Detals". Incomplete bookings cannot be processed.

You will then be transferred to our SECURE PAYMENT AREA where you should enter your credit card details, together with your membership number and postcode. This allows us to connect the payment to your booking.

Receipt of your booking request and payment will be acknowledged and you will receive further details soon.

Please note: The PIE is based in open water. Events typically run over the spring and autumn months and so events will not be run during the winter months. This is due to restrictions in daylight hours and the prevailing water temperatures not being conducive to a fair and effective assessment of students teaching abilities.
