Instructor Information
As with all aspects of Diving Instruction it is important that instructors remain up to date and properly informed for the course they are teaching.
SKILL DEVELOPMENT COURSES
As can be seen elswhere in this section there are a wide range of specialist courses in the form of Skill Development Courses that provied discrete packages of training to help enhance the diving expereince. The majority of SDCs can be taught by a suitably qualified instructor with the necessary experience and most SDCs have comprehensive Instructor Guidance Notes and Visual Aids to support the instructor in the delivery of those courses.
APPROVED INSTRUCTOR STATUS
Because of the specilist nature of the the skills and equipment required some SDCs require an additional Approved Instructor Status over and above BSAC NQI status in order to deliver the courses efffectively. Information on the courses that require Approved Instructor status and the application forms can be found within this section.
INSTRUCTOR RESOURCES
Some established SDCs have Instructor Notes and Visual Aid originals available to download from this site.
INFORMATION UPDATING
The Instructor Resource Centre provides access to general information such as the Basic Life Support Guidelines that help ensure instructors have reliable access to the most up to date information.
