4.11 Dive Discipline
4.11.1 Discipline
Discipline and adherence to BSAC recommendations is also important on Branch Dives. BSAC Rule 5 (C) states that:
The term 'Diving Expedition' is equally interpreted by BSAC as meaning a Branch Dive. Processes for disciplining members are explained under 'Procedures for Disciplining Members' (Section 3.4.9), and should be in Branch Bye-Laws.
A Dive Manager (Section 4.7.1) shall be considered the Expedition Leader for the purposes of ensuring safety and discipline when diving.

"To secure safety and discipline on diving expeditions the Expedition Leader may suspend for the duration of the expedition any member who fails to obey orders given by such a leader for the said purpose. All such suspensions shall be reported promptly to the Branch Committee".
