Medway SAC celebrate 50 years with a subathon in aid of Mencap

Hampshire Police Marine Unit have circulated details of a boat stolen from Chichester harbour. The vessel was taken from a mooring and so may have been abandoned elsewhere in the area.

British Divers March on Westminster
On the day the Government publishes a draft Marine Bill, scores of British divers led by the Marine Conservation Society (MCS) and the British Sub-Aqua Club (BSAC) will march on Westminster to demand that the Marine Bill establishes a network of marine reserves to protect marine wildlife. The marchers, clad in diving gear will start at noon, arriving at Parliament at 1pm to hand over a 100,000-signature strong public petition, urging Government to set up the network of highly protected marine reserves.

Rib owners advised to check Security of Seat and Console fixings
Marine Accident & Investigation Branch (MAIB) of the Department of Transport have issued a Safety Bulletin following an investigation of an Accident involving a RIB where the seats of the vessel became detached whilst in use resulting in all three persons on board being thrown into the water.

Another successful Boxing Day Raft Race
Boxing Day 26th December 2007 saw the sucessful running of the 46th Annual Raft Race by the Derbyshire Association of Sub Aqua Clubs. A total of £6352.54 was raised for the charities R.N.L.I, St Johns Ambulance\' Hyperbaric unit and Derbyshire Air Ambulance.
