Visitors dive into BSAC World at LIDS 2007
Thousands of people descended on the ExCel Centre over the weekend to enjoy the very best of the London International Dive Show 2007, including our own ‘BSAC World’ stand.This year’s LIDS proved to be a great weekend for ‘BSAC World’, with our main stand, shop and rebreather pool drawing in the crowds to find out more about diving with the BSAC.
All visitors to our stand were entered into a fantastic show competition. We have now picked our prize draw winner – Amy Rice from London who gets to choose an item of dive gear, courtesy of Typhoon International. Congratulations Amy!
The weekend also saw the branch launch of our annual Go Dive campaign, sponsored by Dive Philippines, encouraging branches to register for this year’s Go Dive with BSAC campaign, which will run from May. (For more information please visit www.bsac.org)Other BSAC World highlights included the launch of ‘Marine Reserves Now’, our joint campaign with the Marine Conservation Society, with hundreds of visitors signing our petition to call for protected areas around the UK coast.
