Direct Debit for members
Responding to demand by members, the BSAC have now devised a process where members can now pay their BSAC annual subscription by direct debit.
We are currently running a pilot scheme with various branches who have offered to help. The plan is then to put together "frequently asked questions" to help branches run the scheme.
Paying by direct debit has many advantages for both members and branches; easier for members, less work for Branch Secretaries, guaranteed uninterrupted membership.
If you want to pay by direct debit ask your Branch Secretary.
The new scheme will go live in August, with October renewals.
Your membership secretary will be supplied with direct debit forms from HQ during August. All you need to do is fill out the form and give it back to the membership secretary. All renewals and direct debit forms will come back to the Membership Department as they have always done.
If you take up the direct debit offer you have the opportunity of either receiving a £5.00 voucher to use in the mailshop or the option of one of the popular waterbooks from the mailshop.
Direct debit is optional for all branches. If you choose not to take up direct debit, you can of course pay in the conventional method.
