Children In Need Report
THIS PRESS RELEASE IS SENT TO YOU BY A BBC CHILDREN IN NEED FUNDRAISER.
Here are details of an activity that has been held to raise money for BBC Children in Need.

On the evening of Friday 17th November, introductory scuba diving sessions and beginner’s snorkelling sessions were held at King Williams College Pool in Castletown.
An amazing £325 was collected in donations for the Children in Need Appeal.
Over 40 people aged between 7 to 70 took part in the try dive sessions, with friends and family there to cheer them on.
Instructors wore their Pudsey ears in the water, but found they had a tendency to float off in the middle of the dive!
Everyone who took part received an ‘I dived in for Children in Need’ certificate.
Discover Diving based in Ballasalla organised and staffed the event, and provided all the equipment.
Castle Rushen dive club instructors and members also helped out in the pool.
The pool time was donated by King Williams College.
Organiser Michelle Haywood said
“We’d like to thank everyone involved for their generosity. £325 is a fantastic amount of money.
“It was a fun packed and very busy evening. Unfortunately, it’s hard to smile too much underwater! Everyone who took part had a really great time. In fact, this was just the start for some people, who will be carrying on to train as scuba divers over the next few weeks.
Discover Diving is the Island’s premier diver training centre.
