BSAC

Results of the Heinke Trophy Award for 2008 have now been announced.  The winning branch of this prestigious award for branch merit is Cambridge University Underwater Exploration Group.  They will be presented with the Trophy Shield at the Diving Officers Conference in December.  There will be a special presentation made at the branch, which includes cheques from the BSAC and DIVE Magazine for furthering the branch diving and associated activities.  In addition Certificates of Commendation have been awarded to 3 other branches on account of significant achievements during the previous year. These branches are: Cardiff Sub Aqua Club, Guildford BSAC and Mid-Lancs Sub Aqua Club. Congratulations to them all.

 

The Heinke Trophy is the premier Club award.  It ranges over the whole of branch activities: diving, social, and organization so as to assess the branch which has done the most for its members and BSAC in the preceding year.  It is consequently at the heart of our purpose for joining a local club branch, namely to enjoy our diving and the companionship of fellow divers.  Branches will find details of the 2009 Heinke Trophy Award given in http://www.bsac.org/page/75/heinke-trophy.htm and if they wish to enter should complete the downloadable application form before 30^th November 2008.
