Scouts 'Try Dive' with Trident SAC
14 scouts from the 4th harpenden scout group attended a try dive evening with Trident sub aqua club in Hatfield recently. Two waves of scouts ranging from 8 to 14 were given the chance to breath underwater for the first time.Richard Aldridge DO for trident who organised the event said "it was a bit chaotic to begin with sorting out the right sized kit to suit the different sized scouts, but in the end they all had a good time. We put a bar football table in the shallow part of the pool, which most of the scouts enjoyed playing".
The event fits in with the club's intention of applying for the club mark award, and for youth funding from sport England.
We hope to be able to run this kind of event on a regular basis for other scout groups in the local area said Richard.
